Simple Gastritis

You must drink plenty of water and juices, especially lemon juice mixed with a pinch of salt or alternatively use Eno fruit salt. Drinking liquid will give you immediate relief to symtoms like distended stomach and gas.
 
Chewing a small piece of fresh ginger with salt, 5 to 10 mins before meals, stimulates digestion.
 
A teaspoon of Ajwain with little salt is good for gastritis.
 
In addition to above, a healthy fat free, non-spicy food is a must for some period of time. Alchohol/Tobbaco should be avoided. Excess tea coffee is also a strict NO NO.
 
Cold, cough, Congestion - Black tea, spoonful honey, juice of ginger, lemon juice.(Ginger and honey are anti oxidants, Lemon juice has Vit C.
 
Juice of Amla is good (One good way of eating Amla is put some 20 amlas in a bottle and fill it with honey. keep it for a month or two and then eat them)
 
Tulsi is a good antioxidant and a phyto chemical. It is anti viral, anti bacterial and has immunity enhancing properties
 
Add a teaspoon of turmeric in milk and heat and drink it twice a day.
 
For nasal congestion, uses nasal douching (flush your nose with saline solution). Saline solution helps remove allergens and mucus.
 
Steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil helps ches congestion.
 
Washing the Face with warm water to open pores and cleaning and then splashing cold water to close the pores is a good way to keep your skin healthy.
 
Milk and curd on your skin is helpful as lactic acid in milk has anti aging properties. But please note that milk care is not good for oil or acne prone skin. In those cases, use sandalwood paste, Multani mitti (Fuller's paste).
 
Besan (gramflour)/oatmeal is also good.
 
Flax seeds have good anticholesterol properties
 
IMPORTANT
For any skin application, initially try in a small part of skin to check for irritation/allergy.
 
R.I.C.E (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) is the normal treatment recommended for minor sprains, aches, painful joints.
 
Ice packs and compression (tight bandange around the area) reduces swelling by reducing blood flow to the injured area. First 24-48 hours ice pack is advisable, later hot formentation.
 
An effective home remedy for back pain is to prepare a warm mixture of ghee+pounded garlic. Cool and apply it on the affected place.
 
Nausea, acididty and upset stomach - First try drinking lukewarm water with a piece of jaggery to curb acidity reflux.
 
Cabbage, white pumpkin or green gourd juice is effective for acidity as it is alkaline and has fibre.
 
Eating bananas strenghter the stomach linign and counteract the acids that cause an upset stomach.
 
Flax seeds, soybeans, tofu has phyto-estrogen called lgnin which helps alleviate symptions like hotflushes, palpitations.
 
High fiber includes - spropouts, pulp of fruits like oranges, raw salads.
 
HEALTHY DRINK
 
a) 1/2 lemon juice
b) 1 tablespoon honey (diabetes can skip)
c) 1 tablespoon date syrup
d) 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
e) 1/2 teaspoon ginger power
f) a pinch of salt
g) few tulsi leaves
h) lassi/fruit chat masala (has ground jeera seeds)
i) 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
Mix all of the above in a long glass of warm water and drink after
your exercise.
