UNBELIEVABLE MATH PROBLEM

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you.

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in
your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (the 3 digits that follows the code number, i.e. don't include neither 010 nor 012)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2. Scroll down for why it happens

It is not amazing. It is basic math.

Divide your telephone to x (1^st 3 digit) and y (last 4 digits)

1^st Step : 80 * x

2^nd step add 1 = (80x +1)

3^rd step multiply by 250 = 80x*250 +250 = 20000x +250

4^th step = add 4 digits twice = y+y =2y. The equation is now 20000x+250+2y

5^th step = subtract 250. The equation is now 20000x+250+2y-250= 20000x+2y

6^th Step = Divide by 2. The equation is 10000x+y

This will leave the x beyond the 1000 place and y as it is.
